Strategic Prevention Framework Information & Resources

Welcome to the Center for Health and Learning (CHL). Our mission is to promote the health and well being of children, families, schools and communities through trainings, professional development, technical assistance, assessment tools and online learning resources.

For the past eight years, CHL has focused on developing programs that stand at the crossroads of education and public health.  We offer training in the following wellness-related topics and skills: alcohol, tobacco and other drug education; bullying and harassment; nutrition education; eating disorders; physical education; media literacy; HIV and sexually transmitted disease prevention; injury and violence prevention; sexual harassment training; grief and bereavement support; puberty education; life skills training; conflict resolution and cultural competency.

We are committed to helping establish systemic and sustainable change in schools and to building local capacity for community health promotion through education, policy and environmental strategies. Our staff and consultants are experienced in curricula implementation and program evaluation as well as in training, mentoring and providing technical assistance on health promotion projects.  Please review our Services, Trainings, and Programs to find out more about how we can support your work in creating healthier, safer communities and schools.
